Pond Rafting Experience 2025

One of our Park Ranger friends is offering a rafting experience for Lekotek families at Sibley Pond / Sope Creek entrance of Chattahooche River National Recreation area.  This is a small shallow pond, perfect for a beginning experience in a raft.  Parents won't want to miss out on the fun, please plan to participate with your child(ren)!  Plan to join us for some great summer fun!      Important Information: Access to the pond can be wheelchair/walker accessible (families needing access will be permitted to drive down to the pond) however, the rafts cannot accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.  Participants will sit directly in the raft.  The raft does not provide supported sitting.   Children should be 5 years or older to participate (or contact us to determine if we have a life jacket to fit). There are no restrooms on site.  Terrell Mill Park is about 1 mile away and has restrooms. Life Vests must be worn by all participants when in the Raft  (provided by the park--Please bring your own if you have U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets) You may want bug spray, sunscreen, shade hat, and a camera to capture the fun!
